MYX Philippines channel head and MYX Magazine editor-in-chief Andre Allan Alvarez tweets about the loss of a good friend.
A friend and peer in the music industry passed away. Not a lot of people know him because he rarely made public appearances, even though he managed some of the biggest rock bands in the country. He was very soft spoken and kind. Whenever we had “challenges” with his artists, he always went out of his way to talk to me and fix things. I will never forget the box of Mello Yello in cans that he gave me after a meeting. He will be missed. Rest in peace, Richard Y. Tan of Backbeat Artist Management.
